Jacob was born in 1723 in , Cape May, NJ.1 Jacob's father was John Willets and his mother was Martha Corson. His maternal grandparents were Jan Karsten Corson and Mary Elias Daws. He had two brothers and four sisters, named James, Isaac, Sarah, Mercy, Hannah and Rachel. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 23 in 1746 in , Cape May, NJ.1 -
