Richard was born in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA.1 Richard's father was James Sisson and his mother was Lydia Hathaway. His paternal grandparents were Richard Sisson and Mary Atkinson; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Hathaway and Sarah Cooke. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Jonathan, Philip, Thomas, James, Thomas, John, Sarah, Content, Hannah, Rebecca, Hannah and Mary. He died on October 9th, 1744 in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA.1 General Notes

Richard Sisson (Richard 3, James 2, Richard 1) was a Quaker and lived in
Swansea and Bristol County. His will was proved November 12, 1744, and
named his wife, sons Richard, Thomas, George, James and Lemuel, and
daughters Susanna and Lydia Soule. Avis is omitted from the will, for
