Atherton Mather 
Atherton was born in 1663 in CT.1 Atherton's father was Timothy Mather and his mother was Catherine Atherton. His paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Katherine Hoult; his maternal grandparents were Humphrey Atherton and Mary Wales. He had four brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Richard, Nathaniel, Joseph and Catherine. He was the youngest of the six children.-
