David Mahaffey 
David's father was Joseph Mahaffey and his mother was Elizabeth Cathey. His maternal grandparents were William Cathey and Rebecca Holeman. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Hugh, Andrew Deaver, John Thomas, William, Clarissa Ann, Rebecca Jane, Mary, Ann and Elizabeth.-
