William de Braose III was born in 1144 in Bramber, Sussex, England.1 William de Braose III's father was William de Braose II Lord Bramber and his mother was Bertha de Pîtres. His paternal grandparents were Philip de Braose and Aenor FitzJudhel de Totenais; his maternal grandparents were Miles de Pîtres of Gloucester Earl of Hereford and Sybil de Neufmarché. He had two sisters named Sibyl and Bertha. He had a half-sister named Susan (Maud). He died at the age of 67 on August 9th, 1211 in Corbeil (near Paris), Marne, France.1 General Notes
