Mark Pomery was born in 1868.1 Mark Pomery's father was Francis Marion Gandy and his mother was Martha Elizabeth Hipp. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Gandy and Lucinda Elliott. He had a brother and two sisters, named Unknown, Elizabeth and Bunnie. He had six half-brothers named Francis Marion, Roy, Blake, Ellis, Jerry White and Lamont.-
