Henry H was born on April 16th, 1810 in , Trumbull, OH.1 Henry H's father was Henry Harris Gandy and his mother was Sally Harris. His paternal grandparents were Abijah Gandy and Mary Sheppard; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Harris and Sarah Stretch. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Shepherd M, John S, Margaret, Hannah, Rachel, Sarah Ann and Elizabeth Sheppard. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Abijah, George Washington, Mary, Phebe, Matilda, Ruth Sheppard, Tamson and Polly Shepherd. He died at the age of 80 on February 10th, 1891 in Cortland, DeKalb, IL. He was buried in 1891 in Ohio Grove Cemetery, Cortland, IL.1 1 -
