Lucy was born on November 5th, 1727 in Coventry, Tolland, CT.1 Lucy's father was Ephraim Dow and her mother was Elizabeth Clark. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Dow and Susannah Hill; her maternal grandparents were Humphrey Clark and Elizabeth Pache. She had six brothers and a sister, named Ephraim, Levi, Lemuel, Pelatiah, Humphrey Bean, Calvin and Juliana. She had a half-brother named Isaac.-
