Roger I de Sicily was born in 1031.1 Roger I de Sicily's father was Tancred le Guiscard sn de Hauteville and his mother was Fredesende de Normandy. His maternal grandparents were Richard I the Fearless Duke of Normandy and Papia de Normandy. He had a brother named Robert le Guiscard de Hauteville. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 70 in 1101.1 General Notes
