Alathea Cary 
Alathea was born in 1724 in Windham, Windham, CT.1 Alathea's father was Eleazer Cary and her mother was Lydia Throope. Her paternal grandparents were John Cary and Abigail Penniman; her maternal grandparents were William Throope and Mary Chapman. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Eleazer, William, Abigail, Ann, Eliza, Mary, Martha, Sarah and Lydia. She was the third youngest of the ten children.-
