Thomas Bernardus Lourens was born on January 12th, 1921 in Woodstock. Thomas Bernardus Lourens' father was Johannes Petrus Isak van Blerk and his mother was Anna Aletta Elizabeth Hendrina Feyt (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Albertus Daniel Johannes van Blerk and Johanna Barendina Richards (van Blerk); his maternal grandparents were Johannes Jacobus Feyt and Anna Aletta Hendrina Goosen (Feyt). He had three brothers and three sisters, named Johannes Jacobus Petrus, Albertus Daniel Johannes, Albertus Daniel Johannes, Johanna Barendina, Christina Catharina Johanna and Ruth Magdelena Johanna. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 90 on July 31st, 2011. He was buried in Kuils River, NG Kerk, Eeufeesgedenktuin.General Notes
