John Alsop van Blerk 
John Alsop's father was Simon Petrus van Blerk and his mother was Mathilda Amelia Allsop (van Blerk). His paternal grandparents were Jacobus Rogier van Blerk and Johanna Petronella van Niekerk (van Blerk); his maternal grandparents were John Allsop and Elizabeth Webster (Allsop). He had a brother and three sisters, named Simon Johannes, Helena Johanna Alfrida, Louisa Catherina Gaberlina and Mathilda Amelia.-
