George Spinney

George was born in 1823 in Kittery, York County, Maine.¹ George's father was Nicholas Spinney and his mother was Patience Cole. His paternal grandparents were Caleb Spinney and Abigail Cole Spinney; his maternal grandparents are John Cole and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Caleb, Ephraim, Emily, Abigail, Ellen, Rowena and Alice. He was the sixth oldest of the eight children.
