    Parks, Alice Lois - After a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 18, 2001 Mrs. Alice Lois (Spinney) Parks of St. George, New Brunswick, wife of the late Arthur Herbert Parks. Born in Upper Letang, New Brunswick on June 24, 1917 she was the daughter of the late George and Stella (Smith) Spinney. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son, Byron (Anne) of Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia; three daughters, Inez Taylor of St. George, Marilyn Munn of Beaver Harbour and Lois McLanaghan (Eugene) of Pennfield; four grandchildren; Lisa Needle, Melissa Saunders, Ross Munn and Rodney Munn; on great grandson, Zachary Needle; one brother, Douglas Spinney (Heather) of Saint John; one sister, Beulah Dewar of St. George; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Alice was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 40, St. George, as well as a member of the St. Mark's Anglican Church and St. Mark's A.C.W. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, especially flowers. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, New Brunswick (755-3533). Service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. Mark's Anglican Church, St. George, New Brunswick with Reverend Mary Anne Langmaid officiating. Interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In her memory, remembrances to the St. Mark's Building Fund, The New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
