Dow was born on August 14th, 1913. Dow's father was Crockett E. Dow and her mother was Susie B. Morey. Her paternal grandparents were David Dow and Sophia Pickering; her maternal grandparents are William Morey and Izora Eaton. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Sybil and Doris. She was the youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named Laurance and Augustus. She died at just 3 days old on August 17th, 1913.
