Noah Dow

Noah was born on May 12th, 1736. Noah's father was Simon Dow and his mother is Mary Lancaster. His paternal grandparents were Simon Dow and Sarah Marston. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Simon, Richard, Jeremiah, Sarah, Hannah and Mary. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died after 1773.

General Notes
- The History of Rye has little to say about Noah. He was a diminutive man, the shortest man in Rye, in fact. A grandson writes that he was a farmer, but tax books give him only a quarter acre of land. The History of Rye dismisses the family, saying that Noah's son, Nathan, moved into the country.
