James Jewett Dow

James was born on December 25th, 1838 in Sanford, York County, Maine. James' father was Dr John Dow and his mother was Mary Morrill. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Dow and Tabitha Blake; his maternal grandparents are Hon Nahum Morrill and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Nahum, Benjamin, William, Mary, Sarah and Martha. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children.
