Col William Frederick Noel Noel 
William was born on August 8th, 1849. William's father was Edward Andrew Noel and his mother was Sarah Gay Forbes Darwin. His maternal grandparents were William Brown Darwin and Elizabeth de St Croix . He had four brothers and three sisters, named Francis, Robert, James , Cecil, Matilda, Eleanor and Anne. He died at the age of 74 on October 8th, 1923.General Notes
Lieutenant Edward William Middleton Noel was born on 18 March 1880. He was the son of Colonel William Frederick Noel Noel and Josephine Annie Hallewell. He died on 19 May 1900 at age 20 at Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa.
Lieutenant Edward William Middleton Noel fought in the Boer War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 2nd Battalion, Gloucester Regiment.
