Lord John Montgomerie II 
Lord John's father was John Montgomerie and his mother was Elizabeth Eglintoun. His maternal grandparents were Hugh Eglintoun and Egidia Stewart. He was an only child.General Notes
John was one of the hostages sent into England in 1423 for the ransom of King James I of Scotland. He was made a Lord of Parliament, by the title of Lord Montgomery, in 1427
