Catharina was born in 1718 in Gotha and her baptism took place on May 25th, 1718.  Catharina's father was Johann Christoph Brandenburg and her mother was Maria Magdalena Seyfarth.  Her paternal grandparents were Hiskias Brandenburg and Magdalena Meuseman; her maternal grandparents were Johann Michael Seyfarth and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Johann, Jacob, Martha, Engel and Barbara.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 74 on October 12th, 1792.
