Edvin was born on January 2nd, 1909.  Edvin's father is Frank G. Holchak and his mother was Clara Holub.  His maternal grandparents were John F. Holub and Terezie Holub/Gallia. He had two brothers and a sister, named Melvin, Victor and Elsie.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 22 in May 1931.
