Eva was born in 1773. Eva's father was Jaan and her mother was Katri. Her paternal grandparents were Andres and Ann. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Hans, Peep, Evert, Peeter, Ann and Krõõt. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
