Szigbert was born on July 22nd, 1739 in Érsekújvár.1   Szigbert's father was Ferenc Vécsey and his mother was Erzsébet Ghillány.  His paternal grandparents were Sándor Vécsey and Zsuzsanna Zay. He had a sister named Júlia.  He died at the age of 63 on July 30th, 1802.1
