Sándor was born in 1658.1   Sándor's father was Sándor Vécsey and his mother was Mária Szelényi.  His paternal grandparents were Sándor Vécsey and Mária Chapy. He had two brothers and three sisters, named István, László, Erzsébet, Júlia and Zsuzsanna.  He died at the age of 90 on May 12th, 1748 in Sárospatak.1
