Albert's father was Miklós Kosa and his mother was Erzsébet Tatár. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Sándor, Miklós, Miklós, Dániel, Gábor, Károly, Franciska, Julianna, Jusztina, Zsuzsanna and Kossa.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.
