Lajos Körtvélyesi

Lajos was born on March 28th, 1828 in Szabadka and his baptism took place in Szabadka Szent Teréz.¹   Lajos' father was Antal Körtvélyesi and his mother was Rozália Balázs.  His paternal grandparents were Antal Körtvélyesi and Katalin Varga. He had three brothers and five sisters, named János, Simon, András, Juliska, Rozália, Teréz, Rózsa and Erzsébet.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at 4 months old on August 19th, 1828 in Szabadka.²
