József Körtvélyesi

József was born in March 1796 in Mád and his baptism took place there on March 27th, 1796.¹   József's father was István Körtvélyesi and his mother was Zsuzsanna Réti.  His paternal grandparents were György Körtvélyesi and Éva Kertsi. He had four brothers and three sisters, named István, István, József, Ferenc, Erzsébet, Zsuzsanna and Julianna.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
