István Körtvélyesi

István was born in February 1860 in Kisvárda and his baptism took place there on February 18th, 1860.¹

István's father was László Körtvélyesi and his mother was Emilia Borcsik.  His paternal grandparents were Mihály Mátyás Körtvélyessy and Mária Vályi. He had six brothers and two sisters, named József, József, László, Sándor, János, István, Mária and Ilona.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had a half-sister named Margit.
