István Körtvélyesi

István was born in December 1848 in Ada and his baptism took place there on December 12th, 1848.¹   István's father was István Körtvélyessy and his mother was Erzsébet Urbán.  His paternal grandparents were József Körtvélyessy and Katalin Balogh. He had four brothers and six sisters, named János, János, Péter, András, Anna, Viktória, Katalin, Ágnes, Rózsa and Franciska.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-sister named Ágnes.  He died at the age of 65 on December 11th, 1913 in Ada.²
