István Körtvélyesi

István was born in August 1804 in Mezőtúr and his baptism took place there on August 7th, 1804.¹   István's father was Ferenc Körtvélyesi and his mother was Katalin Kiss.  His paternal grandparents were Ferenc Körtvélyesi and Barbara Horváth. He had five brothers and a sister, named István, János, Elek, Ágoston, Gergely and Márta.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 2 on October 31st, 1806 in Mezőtúr.²
