István Körtvély

István was born on December 26th, 1881 in Tiszabura and his baptism took place there on December 31st, 1881.^1 2

István's father was Sándor Körtvélyes and his mother was Eszter Cseppentő.  His paternal grandparents were Sándor Körtvély and Sára Tarkó. He had a brother and a sister, named Sándor and Klára.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named Sándor.  He died at the age of 69 on February 17th, 1951 in Kunhegyes.³
