István Körtvélesi

István was born in February 1837 in Vál, Fehér vm and his baptism took place there on February 8th, 1837.¹   István's father was István Körtélesi and his mother was Juliana Tokodi.  His paternal grandparents were János Körtvélyesi and Éva Halász. He had five brothers and a sister, named Anna, János, József, Ferenc, Katalin and Erzsébet.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 65 on August 12th, 1902 in Székesfehérvár.²
