Census has last name spelt Rumple. Wilhelm was employed as a domestic for the Philips family along with G. Ferner.

This book was given to my Grandmother from her sister, Bertha Kepl (nee Schlievert) on her 27th birthday. All birth and death dates were hand written by my Grandmother, after her death the entries were written by my Father. This book is now in my possession.

    BIOGRAPHY: **Taken from "Our Family" compiled in 1981 by Carroll BAIRD (neeRUMPEL)** William (Bill) Rumpel was born August 7, 1884 in Bukovina, Austria. He came to Canada with his parents in 1891 and the family took up a homestead in the Balgonie District. In 1905, he married Amelia Senger and for a few years Bill and Amelia farmed in the Earl Grey - Southey Area. They then moved to a farm north of Balgonie, NW & NE 1/4's of Section 15, Township 18, Range 17, W 2nd of the second Meridian. They homesteaded here until Bill's death in May 1981. Bill and Amelia raised a family of six children; five boys and one girl. Their youngest son, Otto, still resides on the homestead that Bill and Amelia had.
