Martha was born in 1777 in Armley, Yorkshire, UK.  Martha's father is Thomas REDSHAW and her mother is Martha BOOTH.  Her paternal grandparents are Robert REDSHAW and Mary NEWTON. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James, Robert, John, William, Joseph, Nanny, Elisabeth and Mally.  She is the eighth oldest of the nine children.
