John was born in 1767 in Armley, Yorkshire, UK.  John's father is Thomas REDSHAW and his mother is Martha BOOTH.  His paternal grandparents are Robert REDSHAW and Mary NEWTON. He had four brothers and four sisters, named James, Robert, William, Joseph, Nanny, Elisabeth, Mally and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 51 on January 4th, 1818 in Armley, Yorkshire, UK.
