Joseph was born in 1797 in Armley, Yorkshire, UK.  Joseph's father was John REDSHAW and his mother was Hannah DAVISON.  His paternal grandparents are Thomas REDSHAW and Martha BOOTH. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William, John, Sarah, Hannah and Sarah.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 6 on May 12th, 1803 in Armley, Yorkshire, UK.
