Atanase (Tase), known as Picolo, was born on March 24th, 1878 in Mizil and his christening took place there conducted by priest . Picolo's father was Vasile Ranetti and his mother was Elena Ioachimescu Ranetti. His maternal grandparents were Nicolae Ioachimescu and Maria Ioachimescu. He had a brother and a sister, named George and Atena. He died at the age of 69 on October 25th, 1947.
