Pauna was born in 1850 and her christening was conducted by priest . Pauna's father was Dumitru Manciulescu and her mother was Ana Manciulescu. Her paternal grandparents were Manciulescu and Manciulescu; her maternal grandparents were Parepeanu and Alexandra Parepeanu. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Costica, Stere, Ecaterina(Tinca), Veta and Maria. She died due to natural causes or old age. Her body was entombed in Mizil.

  Si-a crescut cu dragoste copii si a fost o sotie si mama devotata. Dupa ce sotul ei a murit, Pauna a ramas foarte legata de fiul ei Stefan(Fanica). Acesta nu s-a casatori niciodata si s-a aflat permanent langa mama sa pana la sfarsitul acesteia.
