Hazel was born on February 18th, 1912 in Alto, Georgia.  Hazel's father was John Jefferson Martin and her mother was Vetta  Victoria Grant (Martin).  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Marion Martin CSA ((CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA)) and Matilda C Warren (Martin); her maternal grandparents are Thomas Benton Grant and <Unknown>. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Carl, Roy, John, Thomas, Grace, Clara and Ora.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 74 on July 12th, 1986.  Her burial was in LGC.
