Grace was born on August 27th, 1897 in Alto, Georgia.  Grace's father was John Jefferson Martin and her mother was Vetta  Victoria Grant (Martin).  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Marion Martin CSA ((CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA)) and Matilda C Warren (Martin); her maternal grandparents are Thomas Benton Grant and <Unknown>. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Carl, Roy, John, Thomas, Clara, Ora and Hazel.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died  due to Scarlet Fever at the age of 3 on February 19th, 1901.  Her burial was in LGC.
