Joan De was born about 1235 in Kingsley, Cheshire, England.1   Joan De's father was Richard Lord of Kingsley and her mother was Joan De Sylvester.  Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph Lord Of Kingsley and Matilda Moston; her maternal grandfather was Alexander De Sylvester. She had two sisters named Emma Heiress of and Amicia.  She was the second oldest of the three children.1
