Piers was born in 1287 in Ashperton, Herefordshire, England.1   Piers' father was William De Grandson and his mother was Sybil De Tregoz. He had a sister named Mabel.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Othe, Agnes and Katherine.  He died at the age of 71 on August 10th, 1358.1
