Emma Thornton

Emma was born in 1863 in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, England.¹ Emma's father was James Thornton and her mother was Ellen Hartley. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Thornton and Agnes (Thornton). She had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Dick, Alfred, Charles, Mary and Laviena. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
