James Petty

James was born in 1864 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹ James' father was Robert Petty and his mother was Jane Goldsborough. His paternal grandparents were Richard Petty and Sarah (Petty). He had three brothers and four sisters, named William G, Walter, Frederick R, Sarah, Fanny, Edith and Annie M. He was the oldest of the eight children.
