Robert Manuel Beene 
Robert was born in 1825 in Marion County, Tennessee. Robert's father was Lemuel Rufus Beene and his mother was Sarah (Sally) Beene. His paternal grandparents were Captain Robert Bean Sr. (Beene) and Martha (Womack) Beene. He had four brothers named William, Russell, Obediah and Lemuel. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
