Parazolle was born in 1853.  Parazolle's father was William Allen Ward and his mother was Nancy Hughey.  His maternal grandparents were William Hughey and Polly Lewis. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Theopholus, Levi, Jabez, Timothy, Jerusha, Catherine, Larizade, Emma and Ella.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 70 in 1923.
