Magdy's father was Gad Gad Tagen and his mother is Qadriah Mohmed Metwalley. His maternal grandparents were Mohmed younes Metwalley and Zenab Ahmad Belelah. He has four brothers and three sisters, named Mahmoud, Hamdy, Ashraf, Mustafa, Fatmah, UmHashem and Hanaa.
