Deon was born on July 9th, 1969.1 Deon's father was Rodney (Rod) Winterbach and his mother was Angela Dorothy Mason. His paternal grandparents are Francois (Essie) Jean von Helslandt Winterbach and Mary Ailsa Cassels. He had two brothers named Paul and Lynton. He is the oldest of the three children.-
