Hanibal was born in 1613.  Hanibal's father was Bartolomìj Valdštejna, z and his mother was Mandaléna Bohdanecká z Hodkova.  His paternal grandfather was Jiøí Valdštejna, z and his paternal grandmother is Kateøina Slavatová z Chlumu; his maternal grandfather was Adam Abraham Bohdanecký z Hodkova and his maternal grandmother is Beata SONGERHAUSU, ZE. He had three brothers named Jan Kryštof, Albrecht Pertolt and Jiøí Adam.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 24 in 1637.
