Leopold Albert was born on October 22nd, 1865 in Pohoøelice. Leopold Albert's father was Leopold Moric Šternberka, ze and his mother was Louisa Hohenlohe-Bartenstein-Jagstberg. His paternal grandparents were Josef Leopold Šternberka, ze and Maria Karoline Walsegg; his maternal grandparents are Ludwig Hohenlohe-Bartenstein-Jagstberg and Henriette Auersperg, von. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Jaroslav Leopold, Václav Vojtìch, Maria Karolina and Eleonora. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 71 on April 11th, 1937 in Brno.
